  • "The lowest price." The cheapest quote usually ignores shipping, adapters, installation, and ongoing filter costs. The lowest number on paper is not the lowest total cost.

One last thing: do a walkthrough of the installation site before the crew arrives. The floor must hold the weight of a full brine tank, and the plumbing lines need to be accessible. If you discover these issues after installation starts, you're no longer in control of the timeline.
